Welcome to Good Things & Everything Else—my newsletter chock full of good stuff, stories, doodles, and a hearty dose of color. It’s part sketchbook, part journal, part letter to a friend. We’re friends now, right?
Why Good Things?
I believe in seeking joy and beauty in every day. I’ve been practicing it since I was a child. There have been periods of my life where I haven’t been so good at it, when it’s been easier to see everything wrong than anything right. But I have come to find that the times when I am able to find the bright side, especially when life feels especially dark, well, that’s when I feel strong enough to face whatever comes.
What about Everything Else?
Don’t get me wrong. This is not a platform for toxic positivity. Stephen Colbert once said if you’re grateful for your life, then you have to be grateful for all of it. The good, the bad, the joy, and the grief. I feel that so hard. I do seek the good, but I also welcome the bad, the sad, the fear, the struggle, and all shades in-between. I guess that’s what the “everything else” is to me. It’s all a part of life, and life is goddamn beautiful.
What have you gotten yourself into?
I’ll send subscribers a weekly dose of goodness every Friday, and it will always be free. You can also see posts here on the website or app. I may eventually make extra content especially for paid subscribers. Any support will encourage me to keep creating, help me stock up on art supplies, and fund good causes to which I’d love to contribute.
Who am I?

I’ve been chronicling my life on the web in one way or another since 1999. I design brands and websites for a living, but I write and draw for my sanity. I'm convinced that my best work to date is my darling family—my husband, Rama, and our children, Henry and Maira. Their creativity and energy inspire me. We live, work, and play together in Los Angeles.
